Hearnes Lake is nestled in a beautiful stretch of coastline between Woolgoolga and Sandy Beach.  On this medium grade, 3.5km walk you will discover the plants and animals that live in and around this unique lake.  Following the lake out to the beach, you will visit the nesting habitat of the endangered Little Tern birds on the way out to Flat Rock headland.

Now in its third year, Afterlife Boogie will be bigger than ever.

Wingsuit flying is one of the fastest growing extreme sports in Australia, which has grown a large following over the last few years.  Afterlife Boogie 2010 expects to register more than150 participants.

There will be something for everyone with trainers in all disciplines and, as always, a big emphasis on education and safety.

The Coffs Quilt and Needlecraft Expo will be held at the Coffs Racecourse from
Friday 10th September to Sunday 12th September, 9am to 4pm daily.
Traders tables- commercial and members.
Classes - 45 minute classes and 1 day classes to be held with various tutors.
Light refreshments are available.
Plenty of parking for both busses and cars.

Spring is the ideal time to make those planting additions to your garden, orchard, or farm. 60 nursery and garden-related stalls provide an extensive variety of tropical and sub-tropical, native, exotic or food-bearing, trees, shrubs, herbs or vegetable seedlings, compost, soil products and garden equipment.

Good music, fine food, plenty of information stalls and expert horticultural advice, and the chance to win a wheelbarrow of plants donated by the stallholders make this a great day for garden lovers!

Workshops and activities include Australian Bushfoods and Reptiles, the Spring Vegie Garden, Natural Pest Control, Seedsaving and Sustainable gardening.  Enjoy the childrens activities, colouring competition and Northbank Community Garden Tours.

The 6 Day Skydiving Event will culminate in the Skydiving Spectacular at the Jetty on Sunday 12 September from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

The sky over Coffs Harbour Jetty and Beach will be alive with large formations, high performance parachutes and wingsuit formations.  You can also expect some spectacular landings on the Beach.

Other adventure operators will be on display at the Jetty.  There will be Markets, food stalls and activities for all, so be sure to come down and join the festivities.

10 days of fun and laughter on the streets of Coffs Harbour.

Some of the best Street Performers in the world converge on Coffs Harbour for a massive week of fun and hilarity. There are shows catering for all ages including Kids Shows, Adults only Pub Shows, and Family Shows at the beautiful Botanic Gardens to name a few.

There will be over 100 shows with some of the 'Best of the Best' street performers from previous years already lined up for the Festival. Most shows are free however save some money for the Busker's Hats!!

Enjoy a medium grade, 2km walk at Opal Cove and discover bush tucker plants that grow along our coastline.  The walk ends in the backyard of a Korora resident who has transformed a small urban backyard into a food forest.  See how chickens and more than 100 different fruits and vegetables have been grown using organic, permaculture and biodynamic techniques.

The Valla Beach Community hold a market festival on the first Saturday of every second month focusing on home made and grown local produce in food, arts, crafts and fantastic musical talent. The event runs from 8am to 2pm in the beautiful landscaped grounds of the Valla Community Preschool, just east off the Pacific Highway on Valla Beach Road, Valla Beach, a serene and peaceful seaside village. Talented local musicians play throughout the day, creating a wonderful relaxing vibe to the venue. Bollywood Beach Bazaar is held at the Beach Reserve in the centre of Woolgoolga between 7am and 2pm.

The BELLINGEN BIG BAND is a community based group of enthusiastic musicians who enjoy learning and playing together every Tuesday evening 7:00pm at the C.W.A. rooms in Bellingen. During the past decade, and under the expert leadership of Chris Frater our band has developed into a very fine large ensemble and has performed at numerous varied events throughout the region. Being able to read and play music at a moderate to high level is a prerequisite. Liking diverse Jazz, Swing, Latin, and the Big Band Sound is preferable.
